Are You My Mother?

Recently over the interweb blogs, a huge story leaked.  Albuquerque native comedian and the inventor of bottlecap art release 3 provocative photos with the simple one-word title "Squeaky."  Many of the blog's loyalists fell into hysteria, some even calling into work for days at a time trying to try and decode the encrypted message, "S-Q-U-E-A-K-Y."  Was it some sort of acronym?  Maybe.  "I wish I could hear squeaky," proclaimed Stephen "Haha" Hunt, in his belief that "squeaky" referred to a sound that Garcia makes during intercourse when she is covered in a blend of KY Jelly and chicharones grease.  At 12:25 PM (Mountain Time), Garcia gave us a new clue into the mysterious photos, by posting the comment: "My new character, chola from hell."  This message only seemed to confuse fans more, who were under the impression that Goldie Garcia's current character was "The Chola from Hell."

The following afternoon, North East Heightz' gangsta rapper, Rusta Rhymes, came across the photos on the website's page, and noticed a strange resemblance to himself.  Rhymes, having not seen his biological mother since February 1st, 2013, thought this might indeed be the mother he has spent the last 21,600 minutes of his life looking for.  These rumors have not been confirmed as of yet, and we are await results from the DNA tests, but there is already a multi-language book deal in the works for this unraveling story, which is expected to top the NY Times Best Seller List upon its release (release date TBD).

Stay tuned for exclusive updates as this story continues to develop.

Global Warming is real and you are Going to Die

...I'm not saying that you are necessarily going to die because of Global Warming, but who knows?  This thought provoking video was inspired by comedian and climate change activist Matt Peterson passing out on my couch after we all got drunk with Doug Stanhope on my roof.  Minutes before Peterson went under, he said, and I quote, "It's fuckin' hot."

Please take just a moment out of your busy schedule to turn off your hummer and watch this short, educational film on the environment.

...and here's part two, after I deleted Angry Birds from my iPad to make more room for video.  Sometimes being an activist requires sacrifice.

4 comics, 3 mics, 1 shitty podcast

I snuck my way into Mike Long and John Cuellar's podcast as they interviewed my new comedy friends Diaz Mackie, Bob Keen, and Tony Valle.  Crack open a brew and get a peak at the twisted live's of stand up comedians...

Bad Decisions Comedy Tour

Come on out and make some “Bad Decisions” with Diaz Mackie as he shares his comedic exploits in this uncensored stand up tour featuring Tony Valle with Bob Keen, and hometown heroes Rusty Rutherford and Mike Long.

Originally from Michigan, Diaz Mackie began his comedy career in Las Vegas in 2006 and currently resides in Los Angeles. In his short career, Diaz Mackie has traveled across the country headlining & featuring in clubs and colleges with his refreshing, upbeat & observational humor.

Diaz Mackie has multiple network television appearances including new hit shows "Go On" with Matthew Perry and Anthony Anderson's "Guy's With Kids,” both on NBC. Change the channel to CBS and you might find him on "Criminal Minds.” You can switch to cable, but there's no escaping Diaz Mackie as he's also been on Showtime's "Shameless," starring William H. Macy and "House of Lies" starring Don Cheadle . Not to mention he also served as a guest judge on Bill Bellamy's "Who's Got Jokes" which aired on TVOne. Diaz Mackie is a fresh face in the comedy scene & someone to keep an eye on.

No stranger to a few “Bad Decisions” himself, Chicago comic Tony Valle joins the tour with confidence this isn't one of them! Influenced by comedic greats such as Carlin and the Stooges, Valle takes you on an intimate tour of his vulnerabilities exposing his innermost fears and insecurities. Always providing a light at the end of the tunnel, the comedic road he paves to get you there is twisted and perverse.

Fellow Chicago comic Bob Keen will be warming up the audience for Mackie and Valle. Keen can be seen traveling all over America with his unique brand of high-energy theatrics and wry witticisms. Stalking the stage with confidence and ease, he finds humor and connection with his audiences in areas most have trouble; be it religion and politics or observations on relationships and drinking. Keen has drawn comparisons to Bill Hicks and Doug Stanhope. A unique voice and style for a unique time, he insists, "We're all going to die someday. Let's dance!"

Some of the comedians Diaz Mackie has performed with include: Felipe Esparza, Tom Rhodes, Bret Ernst, Lisa Landry, Shang, Greg Wilson, Thai Rivera, Butch Bradley, Jimmy Shubert, Daryl Wright, Bill Bellamy, Chris Tucker, Mike Epps & more.

Rusty Rutherford’s twisted comedy has "More Energy Than A High School Cheer Squad" (Montreal Fringe Festival). You'll question if Rusty is sane one minute with his dark, offbeat humor, then question if he's a "Comedic Genius" (Rusty's mom) the next when he seems to incorporate every member of the audience into an on-the-spot freestyle rap.

Mike Long will be opening for Doug Stanhope next month, so now's your chance to see him before he blows up! Long balances an intense need for approval with an overwhelming desire to offend. Expect the unexpected, and expect to laugh your ass off.

The show is 18+ and tickets are just $10 and WE'LL THROW IN YOUR HOOKAH FOR FREE! Doors open at 7:00, show starts at 7:30.

Terrene Hookah Lounge is located at 106 Vassar Dr SE, just south of Central Ave.
