Stand Up Is More Artsy In Black And White

I performed at The Guild last week, and my buddy Bruce Ying Wong filmed my set. I thought the video was alright, but there was something off, something I couldn't quite put my finger on. I sent the video to the trash bin on my computer and hoped that the next one would turn out better. Then it came to me in a dream. Our subconscious is a strange thing, and dreams speak to us in metaphors, similes, and onomonopias, so I wasn't completely sure what it meant when I was skinny dipping in the Rio Grande and a silvery minnow, my spirit animal, said to me, he says "Rusty BE Michael Jackson. You ARE Michael Jackson." I try to trust and follow my dreams, so I knew it was no coincidence the next morning when I was on my way to get some plastic surgery when MJ came on my Michael Jackson Pandora station singing "It doesn't matter if you're black our white." I thought to myself out loud, "You're right Michael, it really doesn't matter if you're black or white, or in your case, black and white...black AND white. Wait a minute, my dream wasn't telling me to get a nose job, it was telling me I need to be black and white. My video needs to be BLACK AND WHITE! I called and canceled my appointment with the plastic surgeon, as well as the dentist appointment I had scheduled for next week to get my wisdom teeth pulled, and I turned my car around. I got pulled over for making an illegal u-turn while talking on the phone, but the cop let me go with a warning because I am white. I sped home to edit my video, got pulled over again for speeding, and got off with another warning because I am white. I opened up my trash bin, pulled out the mouse that I threw away last night out of frustration, took him outside to the dumpster because he was really starting to smell, then I went back inside to my computer, opened my computer trash bin and took out the video I had sent there last night. I did a little editing to make it black and white, and re-watched it. "This video is hilarious!" I screamed out loud. "I'm going to put this on YouTube" I whispered. So here it is, in it's entirety. I hope you are as touched by this video as I was...

...okay, actually I made it black and white because the lighting was weird at the venue and I thought this looked better.
